Iridium Ultra - Stitched Images
Stitched Imaging allows for the user to manually or automatically create image montages to form one large image from several fields at a higher magnification. Once the stitched image is created, it is then exported to perform all image processing features that the Iridium Ultra has to offer. Not only images can be stitched but also X-ray Maps.
This example shows an earring and is a composite of 15 seperate images. The image is purposely out of alignment demonstrating the Stitching ability.
- Once the stitched images are acquired, they can then be adjusted to compensate stage lag or backlash corrections.
- Stitched Image Setup is user friendly. When stage automation is available, the user simply defines the "Upper" and "Lower" regions. The stage automatically collects the images and stitches them together.
- When stage automation is not available, the user is prompted to move the stage to the next image position, and the images are automatically stitched.
Of course, what would stitching be without the ability to create Stitched X-ray Maps? And all Iridium Ultra X-ray map functions apply to the Stitched X-ray maps as well.
